Problem Solving fun and New Year’s Party

Get to know your fellow mathematicians at this first event of the year.  Mathematical challenges will intermingle with party fun as we kick off 2010.

Learn new things, celebrate a great program, have some fun, eat free pizza... What could be better?

The Math Circles session will take place on Wednesday, January 13th from 5:30 to 7:30pm.  Food will be provided for all participants.  The session will be very interactive.  It will consist of a short lecture integrated with various engaging activities.

We invite all interested students and teachers to attend.  We are confident that your students will find this extremely worthwhile and FUN!

Please join us!  We will have enough food and drinks to go around.

Thanks to funding from the Imperial Oil Foundation, we have started putting together materials for mathematical presentations and activities in the “Math Circles” style.  That is, with lots of interaction and activity backed up by hands-on materials as well as physical and electronic resources.  If you are anywhere in Nova Scotia and would like us to visit your school for FREE, please contact Angela Siegel (Program Director) at mathcircles@dal.ca
